Rotisseries are becoming increasingly popular, and it’s no wonder why. Spit roasting is a great way to cook meats evenly and prevent them from drying out. • Rotisserie Prongs: Whether you need small prongs for a chicken or a roast to full-sized prongs to hold whole animals like pigs or lambs we have you covered.
  • Gyros Discs: Make incredible gyros or ‘yiros’ without having to battle against prongs when carving. We even have Gyros Seasoning.
  • BBQ Rubs and seasonings: Our BBQ Rubs & seasonings are perfect for adding flavour to your meats, and will help to tenderise and add moisture.
  • BBQ Rotisserie Kits: For those who want everything in one package, we offer kits that include all the necessary accessories for Spit Rotisserie cooking.
  • Spit Rotisserie Covers - Protect your spit roasting investment with a cover that is designed for your spit rotisserie. The Australian climate is unforgiving so you need to keep it covered.
  • Carving Trays - If you are spit roasting a large animal, then a carving tray is for you. With a carving tray, you can cut up a large animal with ease.
  • Spit Rotisserie Baskets - A multi-use basket for a rotisserie is ideal for cooking chicken wings, fish, vegetables, butterfly chicken and more. Our multi-use baskets are versatile and made of food-grade stainless steel.
  • Counter Balance Weights - A counterbalance weight ensures that an animal is balanced properly on a skewer whilst spit roasting. It is essential that your meat is balanced so that the skewer does not "hop" as the heavy side descends and it reduces strain on the motor.
  • Leg Brackets - Leg brackets are essential when spit roasting a whole animal. They prevent legs from dangling and getting burnt. All of our leg brackets are easy to use and have been designed to work with the joint of an animal.
  • BBQ Grills - BBQ grills are ideal for cooking sausages, steaks or anything for that matter. With a grill for your spit rotisserie, you get more out of your spit roaster
  • Charcoal Pans - If you are spit roasting, you will need to protect the tray or base of your spit roaster for the heat generated by cooking charcoal. This is where a charcoal tray (charcoal pan) comes in handy. The charcoal tray takes most of the heat and bends and buckles from the heat. Thereby not affecting the actual spit roaster tray/ base. The charcoal tray also makes it a breeze to clean out the charcoal ash.

So what are you waiting for? Order your Spit Rotisserie Accessories today! You won’t be disappointed. Spit roasting is a great way to impress your guests, and with our accessories, it’s easy to get started. Spit Rotisserie Accessories FAQs

Are Gyros Discs necessary when spit roasting? +

While gyros are relatively easy to cook, carving can often prove the most difficult step in the process. So making the whole experience as easy as possible is always beneficial, especially for first-timers.

Gyros discs allow you to carve against a flat surface, so you don’t have to be avoiding prongs. It makes the whole process so much easier and more enjoyable as well as protects your carving knife blade from damage. If your knife is blunt, take a look at our knife sharpeners.

Why are 304 food grade stainless steel Spit Rotisserie Accessories important?+

304 Food Grade stainless steel is so important as there is no plating to chip off into your food as chrome plated prongs have. Not only is it safer, but it’s also easier to clean and won’t rust. It really is a quality material that will last a lifetime.

What is a counter balance used for and why is it important for spit roasting?+

A counterbalance is a device that you use on the pointy end of your skewer (opposite to the motor end). Its purpose is to prevent the heavy side of the meat from “falling” and adding unnecessary stress to the motor. This will ensure your meat is properly cooked throughout and will help to protect your motor. Consider it an insurance policy on the life of your motor.

What can I cook in a spit rotisserie basket? +

A basket for a rotisserie is great for cooking anything that you can't cook on a skewer such as chicken wings, fish, sausages, vegetables, butterflied chicken and so much more. The adjustable width of the stainless steel basket makes this spit roasting accessory extremely versatile for a huge range of cooking options.

Which accessories will fit my spit rotisserie skewer?+

First, identify the diameter of your skewer. 8-10mm or a larger 22mm round. You may even have a 28mm round or square. Once you know the diameter of your skewer you can match the accessories that will fit your kit. If you ever get stuck, give our friendly team a call on 1300 002 771. You might even be able to send us a photo of your skewer so we can identify what you need.

What is a back brace and why are they important when spit roasting a whole animal?+

A back brace is absolutely essential when spit roasting a whole animal, without it you run the risk of breaking the animal's spine or having an unbalanced load - this is only ever going to end in tears.

When do you use leg brackets when spit roasting?+

Leg brackets are used whenever you are spit roasting a whole animal on a larger spit. If you don’t have access to leg brackets it's best to use stainless steel wire to fasten them to the skewer.

Do I need Charcoal Pan when spit roasting?+

A charcoal pan has been specially designed to take the brunt of the extreme heat generated when spit roasting. It protects the base of your spit rotisserie and makes cleaning up so much quicker and easier. Do we think a charcoal pan is necessary? Absolutely we do, however, if you are comfortable with reducing the lifespan of your spit, you can spit roast without one.
