What you need to make Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes
To make Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes, you'll need potatoes, Kosmos Q SPG (salt, pepper and garlic rub), finely diced rosemary, butter, olive oil and parmesan cheese.
Start by preheating your smoker to 350°F or 176°C. We are using the SnS Kettle set up for indirect cooking using the SnS Deluxe charcoal basket. We are using a cherry wood lump for that smokey flavour!
Next place your potatoes into a large bowl and evenly coat them with olive oil. Add your finely chopped rosemary and Kosmos Q SPG rub. You can go heavy here! Toss the mixture to ensure they are evenly coated.
Next place your potatoes into the Flaming Coals Cast Iron Skillet and add a layer of parmesan cheese.
Place the skillet onto the cooking grate of the smoker and smoke them for roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes. Every twenty minutes spin the skillet to ensure there’s no one side getting more heat. Add more butter and parmesan cheese as desired.
1 hour and 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown and probe like butter. Get them out of the smoker and serve them with your favourite condiments, enjoy!
Tips and Tricks on Getting the Best Out of Your Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes
Perfectly cooked and flavorful smoked Parmesan garlic potatoes are a great addition to any meal! To ensure you get the best out of your potatoes every time, it is important to follow a few tips. First and foremost, remember that potatoes are like sponges – quality and freshness matters for their texture, so be certain to choose only the freshest potatoes. When it comes to temperature, low and slow is key! The low heat will allow the potato’s moisture to evaporate over time, resulting in an extra crispy exterior. Finally, sprinkle parmesan on top during the last 10 minutes of cooking. This will give your potatoes a unique flavour without feeling overly cheesy or overpowered by garlic. With these easy tips in mind, you can enjoy perfectly cooked smoked parmesan garlic potatoes every time!
Different Variations You Can Make with Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes
With Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes, you can create so many delicious variations. First, consider the cuts and shapes you'd like your potatoes to take: chunks, slices, wedges - they all make a difference. For more flavour, substitute different types of cheese such as cheddar or Gouda. If you'd like an extra spicy kick, add some jalapeños or red chilli flakes. If you are feeling adventurous, mix in some bacon bits! Whatever version you choose to make will be sure to please in both taste and presentation - it's no wonder Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes have become so popular!

How to Store Leftover Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes
If you happen to have any leftover Smoked Parmesan Garlic Potatoes, it is best to store them properly so you can enjoy them later. The best way to preserve the flavour and texture of your potatoes is by wrapping them tightly in aluminium foil or airtight containers before refrigerating. Try to consume the potatoes within one week as extended storage can compromise their quality. Reheating the cooked potatoes in an oven helps to restore the crispiness and rejuvenate the flavours without making them soggy. Enjoy!
