Prongs are an essential accessory in spit roasting. You predominantly have 2 types of prongs. Chicken prongs that have 4 "claws" for spit roasting chickens, roasts and leg of lamb. Then there are large prongs to hold a large animal and ensure the front and back of the animal rotate simultaneously.
