Black beauty Cast Iron Stove Polish can be used to restore the beauty of unpainted cast iron woodheaters and stoves in addition to preventing flaking, rusting, and pitting. Black Beauty Cast Iron Stove Polish is a quality black stove polish that is formulated to protect that brand-new, black satin surface and creates a solid, long-lasting bond with the metal. The non-hazardous composition is simple to use and secure.

Ideal for:

Cast Iron Stoves & Fireplaces
Cast Iron Stove Fittings
Australian Made & Owned

How to Use

Use a stiff brush to remove soot, rust, and loose dirt from the stove.
In a cold stove, thoroughly rub stove polish. Make sure the coverage is even, and take off any extra.
Stove must be heated right away to harden polish. Because smoke will appear, make sure the space is well-ventilated.
Once cooling, polish the stove with an old cloth to make it shine.

Safety & First Aid

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Keep out of reach of children.

FAQ's

Does Black Beauty Cast Iron Stove Polish contain Graphite?
Yes.

Can the Black Beauty Cast Iron Stove Polish be used on a potbelly stove that has previously been painted with black high temperature paint?
It is best to either choose paint or polish and stick with that indefinitely.

How long do I let the fire burn?
Until the Black Beauty Cast Iron Stove Polish has stopped smoking.

I have a Saxon wood heater - can this product be used on this type of heater?
We recommend to use our New Coat High Temperature Paint so long as it can be heat cured as per instructions.

Can I use this on my cast iron fire place?
Yes, so long as you are confident the entire surface will heat evenly. The formula contains water so any uncured polish can encourage rust on the surface over-time.

Can I use this product on a stainless steel fire place?
Cast Iron and Stainless Steel have different varies of heat conduction, materials and surface finishes. Cast Iron is a hard grey metal with a carbon content from 2% to 4% where as Stainless Steel is an iron-carbon alloy containing less than 0.25%. As this product needs to be heat cured the reason it is made for Cast Iron is that it is a better heat conductor with a higher thermal diffusivity, whereas Stainless Steel takes much longer to conduct heat from the surface. If you were desperate to polish your fireplace we recommend to use it on Mild Steel only - never Stainless Steel. The finish on the Mild Steel will also need to be etched for the formula to stick to.

How quickly after I apply the polish do I have to start a fire?
Fairly quickly as this product will air dry and you want to start the curing process before that can happen.

How we collect it

Wherever it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, request a quote, call or email us, subscribe to our newsletter, enter a competition, book a masterclass, or visit our showroom.

We also collect information automatically when you use our website, through cookies, analytics tools and advertising pixels.

We record inbound and outbound telephone calls for training, quality assurance and monitoring purposes, and to keep an accurate record of orders, delivery arrangements, product advice and warranty discussions.

You will be told at the start of a call that it is being recorded. If you would prefer your call not to be recorded, please tell the team member you are speaking with and we will offer an alternative, such as continuing by email or arranging a call back on an unrecorded line.

Call recordings may contain personal information including your name, contact details, address and order details. They are stored securely within our telephone system, access is limited to authorised staff and management, and they are retained for 12 months before being deleted.

We do not use call recordings for marketing, and we will not publish or share a recording of your call without your consent, except where we are required or permitted by law to do so. You can request access to a recording of your own call using the contact details at the end of this policy.

Overseas disclosure

We will ask you to verify your identity before we release any information. We aim to respond within 30 days. There is no fee for making a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of supplying a large amount of information.

In some circumstances the law allows us to refuse a request, for example where giving access would unreasonably affect another person's privacy. If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.

Direct marketing and how to opt out

We may send you emails, SMS messages or, occasionally, calls about new products, special offers, masterclasses and events. We only do this where you have given us your details and have not opted out.

You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, replying STOP to a marketing SMS, or emailing sales@bbqspitrotisseries.com.au. We will action your request promptly.

Opting out of marketing does not stop us sending you messages about an order you have placed, such as order confirmations, dispatch notifications and delivery updates. If you ask us where we obtained your details from, we will tell you if it is reasonable and practicable to do so.

Making a privacy complaint

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please tell us first so we have a chance to put it right.

Email sales@bbqspitrotisseries.com.au with "Privacy complaint" in the subject line, or write to the Privacy Officer at 59 Brunel Road, Seaford, VIC 3198. Please describe what happened and what outcome you are looking for.

We will acknowledge your complaint within [5 business days] and aim to give you a written response within 30 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why.
