How to Use a Masterbuilt Gravity Fed Smoker

If you’ve ever wanted smoky BBQ flavour without the fuss of constant fire management, the Masterbuilt Gravity Fed Smoker is the gear you need. These smokers are simple to use, fuelled by charcoal, timber, or timber chunks, and they deliver that authentic smoke flavour pellet BBQ’s just can’t match. Whether you’re chasing a slow brisket cook at 225°F or cranking up the heat for sizzling steaks, the Masterbuilt Smoker gives you precision control with very little effort.

How a Gravity Fed Smoker Works

The design is straightforward. You start a small fire at the bottom of the unit, then fill the hopper with your choice of fuel (either charcoal or timber chunks). The built-in fan kicks in to draw oxygen through the fuel, pushing heat into the cooking chamber. Think of it like induction heating, being steady, even, and reliable. Compared to traditional offsets, you’ll get more consistent temperatures without constant tending.

Setting the Temperature is Easy

One of the best features of the Masterbuilt Gravity Fed Smoker is how easy it is to run. You simply dial in the temperature on the digital controller and let the fan do the work. Want to smoke ribs at 225°F? Done. Ready to blast heat for reverse-seared steaks? Just turn it up and let it climb. The wide temperature range makes it one of the most versatile smokers on the market.

Smarter Cooking With WiFi Control

The Masterbuilt controller isn’t just accurate, it’s smart. With built-in WiFi connectivity, you can monitor your smoker from your phone. Get alerts for chamber temperature, cooking time, or even track your meat temp if you plug in a probe. It means you can sit back with your mates and a cold one while keeping an eye on the cook without hovering over the smoker.

Why Backyard Cooks Love It

• Runs on charcoal and wood chunks for unbeatable flavour.
• Simple setup, just start the fire, load the hopper, and set the temp.
• The fan system delivers even heat across the chamber.
• Huge flexibility from low and slow to searing heat.
• WiFi control makes it almost hands free.
