Thank you to everyone who supported our March Rib Off BBQ comp to raise money for the Black Dog Institute. Through entry fees, raffle tickets and food sales we were able to raise an amazing $1,500.
This event was our opportunity to give back to the community who has supported us through some extremely testing times during COVID 19. Nobody has been left unaffected by the pandemic. There are a lot of people doing it really tough so we couldn't think of a more deserving charity than the Black Dog Institute, said General Manager Rhiannon Peterson.
1 in 5 Australians experiences mental illness in any given year, and about half of all people will experience mental health problems at some stage in their life. This is why your support is so important to us. said Caitlin Bloor, Community Fundraising Officer at Black Dog Institute.
Congratulations to 'What's your beef BBQ' for taking out our March Rib Off Comp and walking away with $1,500 CASH, a new Cyprus original spit and a $200 BBQ Spit Rotisseries store credit.
We were so lucky to have۪ Hulk Smash Food (#1 in Australia), Kingjaseeats (#5 in Australia) and Mick The Magician Dono (#16 in Australia) take part.
Congrats to Mick The Magician for taking out the comp eating an incredible 17 sausages in 5 minutes.
Many thanks to aka Hulksmashfood for helping us promote the event and being such an amazing competitor.
Finally thank you to the entire team at BBQ Spit Rotisseries for your tireless efforts in getting this event up and running and bringing the BBQ community together after such a long and stressful year.
