Our Very First Customer

Some stories stick with you, and this one is part of the reason why BBQ Spit Rotisseries is what it is today. It’s a story Rhiannon, our co-founder, shared with me about one of the very first customers who walked through the doors of the showroom. it was more than a transaction, it was the moment that showed her what this business would really be about.

The Gentleman Who Changed Everything

Rhiannon told me about the day an older gentleman walked in, looked her straight in the eye, and said, “I want the best quality spit you’ve got.” He wasn’t after bells and whistles. He wasn’t chasing the cheapest option. He was after something built tough and reliable.

He chose the Flaming Coals Deluxe Cyprus Spit, a solid, dependable spit that has been a favourite for so many. However, what really mattered was his reason for buying it.

More Than Just A BBQ

He explained that this wasn’t just about getting a barbecue. He wanted a way to cook with his family. He pictured meals around the spit, shared laughter, and a tradition he could hand down to his son. One day, when he was gone, that spit would still be part of his family’s memories with his son cooking, remembering him, and continuing the legacy.

When Rhiannon heard that, it changed everything. She realised that BBQ Spit Rotisseries wasn’t just about gear. It was about helping families build memories around a fire that lasts beyond a lifetime.

The Legacy Of A Spit

That very first customer showed us that what we do matters far more than selling equipment. Every spit or smoker we provide is a centrepiece for birthdays, Sunday roasts, and holidays. It’s gear that becomes part of family traditions, seasoned with stories as much as with smoke and charcoal..

Why We Do What We Do

From that first day in the showroom, our mission became clear. We’re here to give people the tools to create legacies. To make gear that’s trusted enough to be handed down. To help families create moments that will be remembered long after the coals have cooled.

That’s why BBQ Spit Rotisseries exists, and why we still do what we do today.
