Meat Church Honey Hog Rub is a sweet, honey-forward pork rib rub that's just as good on pulled pork, chicken, fish and vegetables. Suitable for

• Pork ribs and pulled pork, the two cuts Meat Church built this rub for
• Chicken and other poultry
• Fish
• Vegetables on the side
• Aussie backyard cooks who want a Southern-style honey rub without mixing their own blend

Why BBQ fans choose this rub

• Honey powder base: real sweetness without reaching for a bottle of honey
• Southern-style recipe: one of Matt's original two Meat Church seasonings
• Multi-purpose: one rub covers ribs, pulled pork, poultry, fish and vegetables
• Amber colour on the cook: the honey and paprika base builds colour as it cooks
• Gluten free: suitable for gluten free diets
• No added MSG: a straightforward ingredient list
• Easy to use: shake it on, then let it stand or refrigerate before cooking

It's the rub to reach for if you want a reliable, no-fuss Southern-style flavour on your next rack of ribs or tub of pulled pork.

A pork rib rub rooted in Southern BBQ tradition

As a pork rib rub, Honey Hog earns its reputation the old-fashioned way. It's a simple Southern-style blend of honey powder, sugar and paprika, built to season pork ribs and pulled pork without masking the meat underneath. Meat Church has kept this recipe as one of its two original seasonings, and it's stayed a favourite ever since.

• Honey powder and paprika base: sweetness and colour that come through on ribs and pulled pork
• Balanced sugar and spice blend: works whether you're low and slow on the smoker or quick on the barbecue
• Gluten free, no added MSG: nothing to second-guess on the ingredient label
• Suited to: pork ribs, pulled pork, and any long, slow cook where you want a sweet Southern finish.

Just as good on chicken, fish and vegetables

Honey Hog isn't a one-trick rub. The same honey and spice base that works on ribs and pulled pork carries just as well over chicken, fish and vegetables, so you're not stuck buying a different tub for every protein on the barbecue.

• Poultry: adds a sweet, golden finish to chicken
• Fish: a simple seasoning before it hits the grill
• Vegetables: works as a side seasoning for grilled veg
• One tub, multiple uses: less pantry clutter than a rub for every dish

Gluten free with no added MSG

Honey Hog is made without gluten-containing ingredients and without added MSG, so you can season with it and get on with cooking.

• Gluten free: confirmed on the ingredient label
• No added MSG: nothing hidden in the seasoning blend
• Straightforward ingredients: sugar, salt, honey powder, spices, paprika, dextrose, dehydrated garlic and celery
