By Rob Wyatt — 17 December 2021 The tape is easy to apply & withstands the temperature without any problems. How well it seals will depend on the quality of manufacture of your smoker (being the fit between the lid & barrel) I know it cut the leakage down in my unit which did leak a little (smoke will find a way). This product is one of those things that you have to try it may work for you or may not. I know that the heat sealing properties of the tape has cut down my charcoal usage to a small extent.
By Mick McCuaig — 18 June 2021 Used this on my Oklahoma Joes Highland offset to heaklp seal the chamber and firebox. It works pretty well, if you have some big gaps where the metal is not contoured evenly, you might want to look at a thicker version of this one. It sitcks really well too, just make sure you clean all exisiting caked on gunk on the surfaces so it's nice and smooth with no greasy bits.
By Dylon — 09 August 2020 My old Webber was leaking a lot of smoke and heat around the rim , however after using this tape has no more leaks improving the temperature by making it a more even temperature and better to smoke with , it‚Äôs easy to apply I used a wire wheel on a drill around the under side of the lid rim and used thinners to clean after and it‚Äôs stuck like sh!# to a blanket üëçüèΩüëçüèΩ Can‚Äôt recommend this stuff enough... cheers
