There’s something special about cooking over fire.
The crackle of charcoal. The smell of meat slowly roasting. Mates gathered around with a cold drink in hand while the coals do their thing.
For the last 20 years, that’s exactly what BBQ Spit Rotisseries has been built around.
What started in a humble farm shed back in 2006 has grown into one of Australia’s most trusted destinations for spit rotisseries, charcoal BBQs, offset smokers, pizza ovens, parrilla grills, outdoor cooking equipment, BBQ accessories, and backyard entertaining gear.
And this May, we’re celebrating 20 years with one of the biggest BBQ sales Australia-wide.
Throughout the month, we’ll be running exclusive BBQ deals, limited-time offers, surprise category sales, giveaways, and special discounts across some of Australia’s favourite outdoor cooking products.
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your backyard BBQ setup, there’s never been a better time.
Back in 2006, finding a quality spit rotisserie in Australia wasn’t easy.
Tony and Rhiannon loved cooking for family and friends over charcoal, but every option they came across fell short of the quality they expected. Instead of settling, they decided to build something better themselves.
So BBQ Spit Rotisseries was born. The early days were anything but glamorous.
Containers arrived at the farm without forklifts. Products were unloaded by hand. Orders were packed after hours. Parcels were dropped at Australia Post on the way to work, and Sundays started at 5 am with drives to Laverton Market just to show Aussies what spit roasting at home could look like.
But behind every late night and early morning was a simple goal.
Help everyday Aussies create incredible food and unforgettable memories through cooking with fire. That passion still drives everything we do today.
Over the last two decades, outdoor cooking in Australia has changed massively.
Backyard BBQs have evolved from simple weekend sausage sizzles into full outdoor cooking setups with charcoal BBQs, spit rotisseries, smokers, kettle BBQs, pizza ovens, and parrilla grills becoming centrepieces of Aussie entertainment.
We’ve loved being part of that journey.
From helping first-time backyard cooks roast their first lamb, to supplying BBQ equipment trusted by restaurants, caterers, butchers, BBQ schools, and serious pitmasters Australia-wide, one thing has never changed. We genuinely love BBQ.
Our team lives and breathes outdoor cooking. When you call us, visit the showroom, or watch one of our videos, you’re talking to people who spend their weekends firing up charcoal, testing smokers, roasting meat on spit rotisseries, cooking pizzas over fire, and helping others become better backyard cooks.
That’s what makes BBQ Spit Rotisseries different. We’re not just another online BBQ store. We’re BBQ people first.
Throughout May, customers will find exclusive BBQ deals across some of Australia’s most popular outdoor cooking categories.
That includes:
Offers will only run for a limited time. Some category sales will change throughout the month, changing as quickly as they come.
If you’re searching for a BBQ sale in Australia or looking for the best time to upgrade your outdoor cooking setup, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest months we’ve ever had.
Over 20 years, we’ve worked hard to become more than just a place to buy BBQ gear.
We wanted to become the trusted BBQ mate Aussies could rely on.
That means:
From spit roasting and smoking to charcoal cooking and woodfired pizza nights, our mission has always been simple. To connect people and communities by creating great memories over cooking with fire.
And after 20 years, that mission means more to us than ever.
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your backyard cooking setup, there’s never been a better opportunity.
Whether you want to start cooking over charcoal, buy your first spit rotisserie, upgrade to a smoker BBQ, add a pizza oven to your outdoor area, or finally build the backyard BBQ setup you’ve always wanted, May is packed with opportunities to save.
Outdoor cooking has never been bigger in Australia.
More families are building outdoor kitchens. More backyard cooks are discovering charcoal BBQ flavour. More people are learning about low and slow smoking. And more Aussies are turning outdoor entertaining into a weekly tradition.
We love seeing it, because outdoor cooking isn’t just about food.
It’s about slowing down. Sharing stories. Creating traditions. Teaching the kids how to cook. Hosting family and friends, and building memories people actually remember.
That’s why we’ve always focused on products that bring people together.
Whether it’s a spit rotisserie loaded with lamb, a smoker rolling low and slow brisket, or a pizza oven pumping out Friday night pizzas, great BBQ gear creates moments that stick with people for years.
To celebrate 20 years of BBQ Spit Rotisseries, every order placed throughout May automatically goes into the draw to win one of 20 birthday prizes.

The best charcoal BBQ depends on your cooking style, available space, and how many people you cook for. Kettle BBQs, spit rotisseries, parrilla grills, and smokers all offer different outdoor cooking experiences.
Absolutely. A spit rotisserie delivers even cooking, incredible flavour, and an unbeatable outdoor cooking experience that’s perfect for entertaining family and friends.
Many backyard cooks prefer charcoal BBQ cooking because of the richer smoky flavour, higher heat potential, and authentic fire-cooking experience.
