1. Purpose
BBQ Spit Rotisseries Pty Ltd ("BSR", "we", "us"), trading as BBQ Spit Rotisseries, is committed to sourcing products and materials responsibly. This Code sets out the minimum standards we expect from every supplier, manufacturer, agent and subcontractor ("Supplier") that provides goods or services to BSR, wherever in the world they operate.
This Code applies to all Suppliers and their own subcontractors, upstream manufacturers and raw material sources. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that the standards in this Code are understood and applied throughout their own supply chain, not just within their own facilities.
Suppliers must comply with all applicable labour laws in their country of operation, and, at minimum, uphold the following principles, consistent with the International Labour Organization's core conventions and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights:
Suppliers must comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations, and are encouraged to minimise waste, emissions and resource use, and to source raw materials (including timber and metals used in BSR products) responsibly.
Where a Supplier engages subcontractors, agents or other manufacturers to fulfil an order for BSR, the Supplier must ensure those parties are held to standards equivalent to this Code. BSR reserves the right to request visibility of a Supplier's own sub-tier supply chain for products sold under our brands.
BSR may, at its discretion:
Suppliers, their workers, or third parties may raise concerns about a breach of this Code directly with BSR at admin@bbqspitrotisseries.com.au, in confidence. BSR will not knowingly continue to trade with a Supplier engaged in forced or child labour, and will work with Suppliers in the first instance to remediate lesser breaches within a reasonable timeframe.
Failure to meet this Code, or failure to remediate a breach within an agreed timeframe, may result in suspension of orders, removal from BSR's approved supplier list, or termination of the trading relationship, at BSR's discretion.
