• Squeeze bottle for easy pouring at the BBQ or the table

It suits anyone who likes their BBQ sauce on the sweeter side but still wants a bit of bite.

What makes this pineapple chipotle sauce different

Most BBQ sauces lean either sweet or hot. This one does both. It starts with a tomato ketchup base, layers in pineapple and a few different sugars for sweetness, then finishes with chipotle for heat, which is why this pineapple chipotle sauce works on so many different meats.

• Pineapple puree: brings a fruity sweetness that sets it apart from a standard tomato based BBQ sauce.
• Honey, brown sugar and molasses: round out the sweetness and give the sauce depth.
• Chipotle chilli powder and black pepper: add the spicy kick that follows the sweetness.
• Tamari, butter, onion and garlic: add a savoury backbone so the sauce is more than just sweet heat.

 Ways to use it

Lanes recommends this sauce on chicken wings, pork ribs, fried chicken and tacos, and it shows up in their own recipes for glazed ham, Korean style wings and pig shots. That covers a fair bit of ground for one bottle.

• Wings and fried chicken: sauce them up for a sweet and spicy coating.
• Pork ribs: an easy match for the pineapple and chipotle flavours.
• Tacos: squeeze it over the top as a finishing sauce.
• Glazed ham: Lanes uses it as the glaze in their Pineapple Chipotle Glazed Ham recipe.

Small & Pitmaster size squeeze bottle

Lanes sauces come in a squeeze bottle, so there is no shaking, tapping or digging around with a knife.

• Squeeze bottle: put the sauce where you want it, with less mess.
• Small & Pitmaster size: more sauce on hand, so you are not reordering as often.
