I am sure this provides good cooking. i experienced this at a friends house who used this spit roast, I was so impressed with it that I purchased one. The excitement soon turned to disappointment. I need to clarify that this was not because of it's function as a spit roaster, I never got that far. It concerns the attachment of the legs. The two stainless steel legs that bolt to the base of the appliance are connected by two heavy duty screws that screw in fixed bolts. Unfortunately the bolts are fixed to the stainless steel sheeting and do not provide a sturdy or safe base for the appliance. One of the legs caused the bolts to splay out of it's holes in the stainless sheet. This is an engineering failure. I repeat the 3 star rating does not refer to its' cooking ability.
