Other than that a great unit I‚Äôd recommend By Martin Lee — 20 March 2025 Bought this spit as an upgrade to a small Aldi spit that I‚Äôve been using for years as I wanted something larger to cook for more people, wanted 240v not batteries and the ability to raise or lower the meat rather than fixed position. Obviously $440 isn‚Äôt a huge outlay so didn‚Äôt expect anything of a commercial quality so not fussed that the unit is fairly thin walled and not top quality stainless steel (couple of small rust marks on it already). When assembling the unit there were some holes in the legs that needed to be opened up with a step drill as the nutserts were too big to fit in (see pics). Not a problem for me but for someone without tools would be a pain. Had a bolt gall up when I tried to remove leg to fix the problem and fought that for half an hour. A small sachet of neverseize should be provided to aid assembly. The welds on the height adjustment brackets look tiny and will probably crack and fail if overtightened. Should be welded all the way around rather than a couple of tacks. Other than that a great unit I‚Äôd recommend. Cooked 13kg if meat for 30 blokes on it‚Äôs first use and did the job great. Like I mentioned it‚Äôs not a commercial grade unit but for $440 it‚Äôs good value and will suit most people fine.

Had few problems with their screws provided but wax easily overcome when constructing the flat pack. Cooked the best rotisserie chicken & tossed veges on the coals. still hot enough for a pineapple upside down cake later. Plenty of power to turn the family sized chicken. Was so succulent & tasty.

I still haven't done a whole beast as yet as I've buggered my shoulder in a work place accident, so am unable to do the heavier stuff, but my son recently became a dad and has requested the rotisserie be loaned to him to get family and friends around for a feast on his daughters first birthday.

I absolutely love my charcoal spit bbq By Steven — 30 July 2020 I cooked a rolled pork and a shoulder of lamb. My guests loved the meat and how it melted in your mouth especially the pork. Once you set it up with the meat then you can kick back for 6 hours and let the spit do it‚Äôs thing. Whether mingling with your guest or sucking back a cold beer there‚Äôs no need to have a pair of tongs in your hand flipping burgers or turning sausages. I absolutely love my charcoal spit bbq ‚ù§Ô∏è

I got one for my father in law 3 years ago and we use it all the time. so I finally got one of my own and I love it especially when we have partys and everyone can small the lamb cooking and turning around on the spit it makes it worth while seeing there faces. and even when we don't want to cook a lamb we use it as a bbq becouse it comes with a bbq plate as well. and even comes with bbq spices and more.
