I love my Flaming Coals SpitBy: Steve Fitzpatrick on 27 February 2015Flaming Coals Warrior Spit Roaster Review -Brilliant spit roaster ! I have used multiple times to cook small and large roasts (no pig on the spit yet just a matter of time). At Christmas I cooked a 4 kilo rolled pork, size 20 chicken and 2 x 2 kilo leg lamb rolled. Also had potatoes and BBq corn. It's very easy to assemble and disassemble, relatively light to transport and fits in the back of the Prado. I have it permanently set up and is a good excuse to cook up the weekend lamb for a Sunday dinner. Nothing better than a beer or a wine whilst the rotisserie does the work.
Flaming Coals Stainless Steel Warrior Pig Spit RoaBy: Greg on 30 September 2014Excellent product. Very well engineered and all the components are surprisingly well finished. Roaster came in parts and it was easy to assemble. I have used few spit rosters before but this one looks like someone had put some effort to understand what is needed. Most likely it is a product that is a result of improvement of previous design. The size, shape, speed of rotation and adjustments are perfect. I am very impressed with the motor that is very quiet and was turning whole (balanced) piglet without any effort. The only area of improvement would be sharper prong forks (easy to fix) and heavier/stronger castor wheels - for less than perfect concrete surfaces.
Our Awesome Spit Roasted Pig Party9 June 2014My wife and I live in a wonderful little subdivision where the majority of families love to socialize. Not long ago, we realized it had been quite some time since we hosted a street party. Our property is adjacent to the central part of the subdivision that has a pond and plenty of open space for kids to run around. I was reading the local paper one morning when a commercial for a local farm popped up. This farm, about 10 minutes drive from our home, sold their produce and meats directly to the public from a barn that was modified into a kind of farmer's market. In addition to cuts of beef and pork, they sold whole pigs. This got me to thinking about spit roasting a pig for our potential neighborhood party. After talking to my wife about it, I purchased the stainless steel warrior pig roaster from you (which arrived in a record 2 days by the way) My wife and I drove out to the farm on Saturday morning, and that evening, we were ready for our spit roaster party. All the neighbors bought the side dishes and their own drinks. I was obviously in charge of everything required to spit roasting a pig. I lit the coals without any dramas using the fire starter I also bought from you guys, and put the pig onto the spit roaster about 3 hours before people were due to arrive. The aromas from the charcoal and pig wafted through the neighborhood and certainly caught the noses of passersby. Spit roasting a pig is a great conversation starter too. I was a little anxious about spit roasting a pig for the first time but it turned out just fine. The skin was nice and crispy, and the pork was just fantastic. It was so tender and juicy, and the flavor was the best I ever tasted. We plan on making our pig roast an annual event in our subdivision. I’m tipping next year we might get a new more people and need a larger pig.
