How to Cook Cinnamon Sugar Apples and Pineapple in the Auspit Spitmate (tumbler)

This is such an easy and simple recipe but delivers a punch of flavour and will be a sure-fire crowd, please! Our team commented that they were amazingly tasty, moreish and zingy!

Procedure:

Cut your apple into quarters.

  • Cut your apple into quarters being careful not to cut the core (you could always core the apple first). Once in quarters cut down again into smaller pieces and place aside.

Cut your pineapple same as the apple.

  • Trim the hard sides of the pineapple and cut into smaller pieces similar to the apple and place both the apple and pineapple in a bowl. Coat with maple syrup and cinnamon sugar.

  • Pour your fruit into Auspit spit mate (tumbler) place on your skewer and spin away. Remember to place high above the fire not to burn your fruit and check regularly.

You’ll know when they are ready to serve when both the apple and pineapple have gone soft. Once removed sprinkle some more cinnamon sugar on top and devour!
